Wedding Events Let's Get it Started In Here

We are overjoyedA�that so many family and friends will be joining us for our wedding! Below is a list of events, information on accommodations, and some attractions we recommend while visiting Mystic.

For those of you whoA�will be coming to town before Saturday, September 19th, we’ll be emailing some information about suggested activities for Thursday and Friday. A�Of course, if you have questions before the email goes out – just contact us!

Sunday, September 20th:
Ceremony & Reception at
The Branford House

Ceremony starts at 3:00.

Shuttles available from the Mystic Marriott and the Hilton Garden Inn - Check back for times.

Dress Code: Garden Party Attire (Francesca says...when in doubt, wear purple.)

About the Venue:

The Branford House is located in Groton, Connecticut on the campus of UConn Avery Point. Branford House was built in 1902 for Morton Freeman Plant, a local financier and philanthropist, as his summer home; he named it after his hometown of Branford, Connecticut. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 23, 1984.

Dinner at
Abbott's Lobster in the Rough

For those who are in town, Francesca and Scott will be gathering at Abbott's for some traditional New England grub (Lobster!) at 5:00pm for an early dinner. Join us for seafood, or just come to hang out (there's ice cream too!).

A bit about Abbott's:

Dress Code: Casual - seating is outdoors on the water front, so it can get a chilly

BYOB: beverages. Abbott’s offers a full line of soft drinks, but does not serve alcoholic beverages. Feel free to bring your own wine or beer. There's a liquor store right around the corner too.

The Food: Abbott’s Lobster was founded in 1947! Clams and oysters on the half shell, mussels, shrimp, crab, corn on the cob and our great New England seafood feast, as well as our various seafood rolls, are all mouth watering and prepared fresh.

Evening Trip to Foxwoods Casino!

Mystic visitors frequently come for three things: lobster, history, and a gambling. Foxwoods Casino is located about 20 minutes from the Mystic Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn. If enough people are interested a shuttle can be arranged.

Why did we choose Mystic? Well, Mystic was the first place we traveled together. We have been many places since, but we return to Mystic almost every year because it's just so cute and the lobster is abundant.
