The Branford House is located in Groton, Connecticut on the campus of UConn Avery Point. Branford House was built in 1902 for Morton Freeman Plant, a local financier and philanthropist, as his summer home; he named it after his hometown of Branford, Connecticut. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 23, 1984.

The official wedding kick-off! Join us at the Mystic Marriott to share food, drinks, and stories.
Please make sure to RSVP for this event when you RSVP for the wedding (it's on the same form). Did you forget? You can always update your RSVP using the RSVP link in the menu.
For those who are in town, Francesca and Scott will be gathering at Abbott's for some traditional New England grub (Lobster!) at 5:00pm for an early dinner. Join us for seafood, or just come to hang out (there's ice cream too!).
A bit about Abbott's:
Dress Code: Casual - seating is outdoors on the water front, so it can get a chilly
BYOB: beverages. Abbott’s offers a full line of soft drinks, but does not serve alcoholic beverages. Feel free to bring your own wine or beer. There's a liquor store right around the corner too.
Accepts cash and credit cards
The Food: Abbott’s Lobster was founded in 1947! Clams and oysters on the half shell, mussels, shrimp, crab, corn on the cob and our great New England seafood feast, as well as our various seafood rolls, are all mouth watering and prepared fresh.
Mystic visitors frequently come for three things: lobster, history, and a gambling. Foxwoods Casino is located about 20 minutes from the Mystic Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn. If enough people are interested a shuttle can be arranged.
Mystic is a beautiful vacation destination with many options, but rooms can get pricey if you don't book early. We have reserved a room block for the comfort of our guests at the Mystic Marriott and the Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton . We also suggest exploring Mystic's quaint B&Bs or other local hotels.
Why did we choose Mystic? Well, Mystic was the first place we traveled together. We have been many places since, but we return to Mystic almost every year because it's just so cute and the lobster is abundant.
If you have the time, take a day or two to get to know this New England town. We love it and hope you do too!
